What We Do
Founded in early 2023 by Thibaut Pollina, FairScope is a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of scientific instruments dedicated to marine biology and more specifically plankton research. Based in Morlaix, France, FairScope has grown into a team of seven people committed to developing innovative and disruptive solutions that support research and raise awareness about plankton.
Its flagship product, the PlanktoScope, is a platform designed for precise, quantitative, and qualitative imaging of plankton communities. With its advanced flow-through technology, it enables real-time observation of aquatic microorganisms in motion, ideal for both laboratory experiments and monitoring natural environments.
With more than 361 PlanktoScopes manufactured, the instrument is now present in 124+ laboratories across 30 countries and supported by a community of nearly 1,000 people on Slack.
